Success at the North West Coast, Research and Innovation Awards

The University of Central Lancashire’s tradition of collaboration was recognised at the North West Coast, Research and Innovation Awards in March 2018.  Members of the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences were nominated as finalists in the ‘Partnership in Innovation’ award category which recognises a partnership between an NHS and a non-public sector organisation.

The project recognised was “Innovation in medicines manufacture – meeting the needs of children and young people through 3D-printed doses” – a collaboration between UCLan, Alder Hey Children’s NHS foundation trust, Quotient Sciences Ltd., Alchemie Ltd. and Liverpool Young People’s advisory group.

The University was also nominated in 3 other categories: Outstanding contribution to patient and public involvement in research, Research for wellbeing and Research student of the year.
